November 19, 2025: Community Design Competition
Saint Luke’s Foundation began the journey in August 2025 to design a new headquarters that is welcoming, accessible, and deeply rooted in the community it serves. From September to October, a Request for Qualifications was issued, and 20 architecture firms submitted their materials. Soon after, the Internal Design Team reviewed the applications and will invite up to eight firms to participate in the Design Competition. As the next step, we are inviting residents to join us at today’s Design Competition.
Engagement 3: Community Design Competition
Event Date: Wednesday, November 19th from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Morning Star Baptist Church (10250 Shaker Blvd, Cleveland, OH 44104)
We're inviting residents of Buckeye, Mt. Pleasant, and Woodland Hills, strategy partners of the Saint Luke's, and other community stakeholders to join us at today’s design competition! Selected architecture firms will present their qualifications, project approach, and early design concepts for Saint Luke’s Foundation’s new headquarters. Everyone will have the chance to see the first ideas for the building and share your thoughts directly with the teams.
Why It Matters:
This is your opportunity to help shape the future of our new home in the Woodland Hills neighborhood. Your feedback will guide the final design and ensure the building reflects the history, values, and hopes of our community.
Register for the Saint Luke's Design Competition
Nearly 200 residents, strategy partners, and community partners gathered at Morning Star Baptist Church for an unforgettable design competition. The Design & Dine experience featured four architecture firms - Bowen+, City Architecture, Colloqate, and Moody Nolan, as they shared the heart and inspiration behind their design concepts.
Guests traveled from station to station with passports in hand, engaging questions, offering feedback, and ultimately selecting the firm that resonated most with their vision for the neighborhood.
After exploring each concept, everyone came together in the Fellowship Hall for a soulful meal filled with laughter, shared memories, and future possibilities. Residents expressed how meaningful it felt to have their voices centered, and several firms shared that this was one of the best experiences they’ve ever been part of.
Up next: Community Pulse Checks
Stations will be placed throughout the neighborhood to ensure more resident voices help shape the future of the new headquarters. Keep following for site locations and details - your voice continues to guide the future home of Saint Luke’s Foundation.
